Major Matthew T. Getts is the Chief of Assembly, Test and Launch Operations for the Advanced EHF System Program Office. In this role, he directs the final assembly/qualifications, testing, flight readiness reviews, and launch operations for the $14 billion MILSATCOM constellation providing worldwide secure space-based communications for the President and Combatant Commanders.

Major Getts entered the Air Force in May 2008 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program. He began his career as an aircraft maintenance officer supporting F-15E training and combat operations. In 2011, Major Getts transitioned to the acquisition community and leveraged his operational experience as he set up overseas depot services for the F-16 pacific fleet. After a deployment in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM in 2013, Major Getts led a critical avionics upgrade on the A-10 fleet, the #1 CAF priority at the time. In 2015, he was selected for the Education With Industry program and spent a year as a fellow at the worldwide headquarters for Amazon.com. Major Getts is married to Doyeon Kim and has one son, Henry.
